Keeping BT Email

Phil124
Visitor

I am currently a BT Broadband customer.  I have been with them for years.   I am also an EE customer and have also been one for many years.

The broadband renewal being offered by BT is not as good as what I can get from EE for less per month.  However, BT want to charge me £7.50 a month to be able to access my emails.  Since I have been a BT customer for so long changing all my accounts which have BT email addresses will be a nightmare.

As BT and EE are under the same umbrella now, would being an EE Broadband customer allow me to keep access to my BT account free of charge?

No, to keep your BT email addy with proper functionality you will need to buy BT Premium email @ £7.50 a month.

You can keep your email for free after leaving BT but it will only have the basics.

If you're leaving BT Broadband and want to get Basic email, you need to order it when cancelling your broadband. You can't make a direct switch later.

Basic means Webmail only, no email clients/apps.
