I recently received the EE 5G router as well as my first bill in the mail indicating my account number. However, when I go to sync this account number to My EE I get the following message: "Please enter a valid billing account number"
And also, for some reason, I cannot call the EE hotline for phones from other providers (07953 966 250) because my phone is with Vodafone, which equally makes no sense to me.

Are you trying to add the mobile router to the Home BB section of MyEE? You can't. That's for fixed home BB; the router is a mobile.
Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig.
