STV Player is bringing back one of Brookside’s most famous families – the Dixons.
Five classic episodes drop every Wednesday, and this week marks the arrival of Ron Dixon, his wife DD and their children Mike, Jacqui and Tony.
You can watch Ron instantly clash with neighbours Max and Patricia Farnham after parking his fruit and veg van on their driveway.
Alex Fletcher, who played Jacqui, says the reaction to the Brookside relaunch has been “incredible” and loves seeing fans enjoy the nostalgia again.
The Dixons were central to Brookside from 1990 until the show ended in 2003, during its most‑watched years.
Fans can expect plenty of classic Dixon storylines on STV Player, from family drama to the comedy moments Ron became known for.
Brookside relaunched on STV Player in January 2023, and a new deal means it’ll stay on the platform until 2029. It’s now one of STV Player’s biggest hits, with over 37 million streams.
