Keep the kids entertained this Easter with 6 months free Apple Music from EE!

Need some inspiration to keep the kids entertained this Easter? Whether it's soothing them off to sleep with a soft lullaby, or reshuffling the playlist when they're definitely not happy and YOU know it, Apple Music has a wealth of content to help you construct a soundtrack to suit all their needs. And no, it doesn't have to be Mozart. 😉 Apple and Android pay monthly mobile customers are treated with six months of Apple Music and EE is covering their data (terms and conditions apply).

I have made it my priority not to subject myself to “Let it Gooooo’ EVER again, and with Apple Music it’s super easy to collate your children’s favourite tracks and find new ones through the Themes & Moods sections. I tend to give my eldest girls free rein on the Children’s Music section and they have created their own little ‘Kitchen Disco’ playlists with everything from classic Disney songs to some old Spice Girls classics! You can search through movie soundtracks to learn songs and there is even a Ministry of Sleep album to help them drift off at the end of a busy day after over indulging in those chocolate eggs.

With 6 months of free Apple Music from EE, and data being covered (terms and conditions apply), you can create your own playlists based around your mood/activity/season. As the children are back home for the Easter holidays, I have tried to gather up some nice Easter themed songs. They’ve loved learning the actions to songs such as “Ten Easter Bunnies” … and whilst I can’t say these action songs are going to make it onto my personal playlists this Easter, that’s the joy of Apple Music - there is space for everyone and it’s super easy to keep your music organised and separate…. “Four little, five little, six Easter Bunnies” 😉

Did you know that the Music area lets you add songs from the Apple Music library to your personal library? You can browse, sort and search so you always have them at hand. We have a Children’s playlist for just about every occasion; bath/kitchen/garden disco’s, sing-a-long fun, Mummy’s spa soundtracks for those nail painting pamper afternoons and a lovely collection of sleep inducing lullabies for our baby under the ‘Baby Tunes’ playlist.

We love nothing more than creating playlists together, it’s so easy to find great songs that we can all enjoy by using the browse feature on Apple Music to lead us from one album to the next. When we are all at home together it makes sense to listen to music that we can all enjoy (and that we know is going to be safe for little ears). By listening to playlists like ‘Party Music for the Whole Family’ we know we will not only get a great mix of songs that they’ll recognise from recent movies, but that we will enjoy a little more than listening to the Frozen album on repeat… though there is that too if that’s what floats your boat!!

Top tip from me… using the search bar, search for ‘Tidy Up Song”. There are so many to choose from and I may or may not have added multiple tidy up songs to one playlist 😉 I use my ‘Tidy Up’ playlist at least once a day to encourage the kids to tidy up, especially in the Easter holidays after they have had friends over or when we have been doing a spot of Spring cleaning - they have a frantic boogie/tidying session and it’s one less thing for me to do… Thank me later!

I would love to hear how you use Apple Music! Let me know in the comments below what playlists you love as a family & if there are any golden tracks for kids I’m missing out on?
