Apple Music Smart Benefit Problem Saying Subscription already in use

Hi, I cannot activate my apple music smart benefit. I get through all the set up and finally get a message saying the subscription is already being used with a different Apple ID. I only have 1 ID. I tried this in December and had the same issue. I contacted apple who said it was an issue with EE. EE said it was an issue with Apple. I had the benefit removed. I subsequently got a 3 month free trial through Currys which worked perfectly. I am now trying again with EE but am having exactly the same issue. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks
