Just bought a narrow boat and it has an Autoterm Moden for the central heating.
Does anyone use. One with an EE sim..?

Hi @9teen60six
The EE SIM should have the number on the package. The 3 one put it into your phone and then check the number.
There is a lot of support online for the modem if you search Google.
Thanks

Thanks, will putting the sim in my iPhone cause any issues..?
Would a PAYG sim for EE be a better option... do you have to top up every month or will it run on. Won’t be using the heating much in the summer...

Hi @9teen60six.
As long as the SIM fits, it won't be a problem putting it in your phone.
You'll be best wit a pay monthly SIM, as you won't need to worry about hibernation of the number.

Thanks for the reply Jon,
£12/month for another sim is not an option just to be able to turn the heater on when I leave work so the boat is warm when I get home 🙂
How long is it before the number goes into hibernation..?
may have to look elsewhere for a better offer, which would be a shame as the family are on EE and coverage is hardly ever an issue...

Hi @9teen60six.
The SIM would go into hibernation after 179 days.
Have a look at our Hibernation Support Article for more information.
