Wondering if anyone can help me so I’m 20 I started my contract way before I turned 18 so my mums my account handler my contract ends the 16th of January but I wanna do a early upgrade tomorrow only problem is I wanna get the phone the same day due to my current phone glitching etc but I was wondering 1 would I be able to go in store do my early upgrade and get phone same day 2 would my mum be able to ring up before I went in store and transfer contract into my name and then I be able to get my upgrade by myself in store or would she have to be present thank you

There is a 3month lockout on upgrading, after a change of ownership process - you effectively have a new account.

Otherwise only the account holder may process an upgrade.

@Dest20  if you did a transfer of ownership your Mum would need to call customer Support ideally with you there as well as you need to accept that transfer and you’ll need to pass a credit check, you will not be able to upgrade for at least three months.  and depending on what iPhone you wanted there is a waiting time for any of the new iPhone 17 range so you’re not gonna get it that day.   you’ll be better off doing the upgrade first then once you’ve got your new device give it a week or so and then do the transfer of ownership.

If upgrading on Flex Pay, this cannot then be transferred via a change of ownership.
