Did you mean:

My broadband was comprised by an attacker, what should I do?

I connected to my broadband last night and it was flagged as suspicious by Norton. I checked why and it said it was comprised by an attacker. I panicked and looked online as to what to do, I saw that I should change my admin password and the router password and factory reset the router. Should I have done this? Is there anything else I should do? I’m now really anxious to do anything on the internet. Many thanks.

It's not your BB that's being reported as suspicious but a website you have visited via your BB. They won't have got hold of tour router's admin &/or WiFi pwd but to be safe you could changed these. Which router have you?

Ok, it just my Norton is telling to leave the network as it was comprised. I have changed the boxes passwords. I have an eye smart hub router.

OK, what is the exact full msg that Norton is giving you verbatim?

Hi @DeanC232 ,

Did you install the Norton software yourself, or did it come with the computer?

Have you used this Norton software for some time, or has it only recently appeared?

No I downloaded this Norton subscription as part of my broadband package.

Hi @DeanC232 ,

From a quick google of "Norton suspicious compromised network", it's quite possible it's a false alarm.

If you believe it's a false alarm and you believe your home network can be trusted, you can take the steps at the below link.

Fix problems with Norton detecting a trusted network as a suspicious network
