Number Deactivated After Inactivity

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on my situation. I have an EE SIM card that I purchased in the UK and used for a year while living there. I returned outside UK last September and haven't recharged the SIM since then.

For a while, I was still able to receive OTPs on the number, but that stopped in March. I'm now concerned that my number might have been deactivated due to inactivity. In fact, I see a message of 'Closing Adjustment' on 26 March, after which I stopped getting messages.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any way to reactivate my number. I haven't been able to find a chat option or email address to contact customer service directly. Only call is available which I am not able to do from here as I am out of UK.

Also, if I purchase a data pack now, would that reverse the deactivation?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Got it solved. Called this number 00 44 7953 966150 and they removed my number from hibernation. I am outside UK so used this number. Just one phone call and it was solved.

Thank you for the reply.

@vannyrao19 : Sounds like your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation & then completely deactivated.

When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

I topped up right now with £10 right now but nothing happened.

It's too late now! It's already gone into hibernation & worse.
