Roaming

Hi there 

I'm presently in Nigeria. I  can receive text messages on my EE phone but can't make and receive calls and  can't send text messages. I didn't opt for roaming before I left the UK.

when I try to make a  all is says this number has been barred. But the network shows full strength and connected.

Please  can anyone help.

Are you pay as you go or pay monthly?

Pay as you go roaming is automatically enabled.

Yes I understand but why does it say my number is barred when I try toncall out or try to call it from a local number 

Thats what is confusing me.

Did you SIM work OK in the UK before you travelled abroad?

Yes it did. It worked perfectly well. I just got to Nigeria on Tuesday.

Are you able to try manually connecting to another network in Nigeria?

What phone are you using?

Yes I have but it does not connect. It only connects to 9Mobile automatically. 

I'm using Samsung Galaxy tab s6 lite,  but I also have tried it on my iPhone X, same issue.

If you change the network mode to manual, are you able to connect to the other network?
