OTP Codes Spam

Hi

On a daily basis I receive 4/5 texts saying this ‘Your OTP is: 789963
Enter the OTP to complete the online transaction with card ending in xxxx’

 I have not purchased anything and to to my knowledge do not have a card ending in the number it states (says the same one every time). 

Blocking the number hasn’t helped. Has anyone had similar. I’m worried it suggest there is a card out there with my details that I’m unaware of that someone is trying to use. But hoping it’s just spam. Really annoying.

Hi @KellyB4 and welcome to the community

Sounds like this is most likely human error. Someone else has inadvertently entered your mobile number on an online form, quite likely theirs is a digit or two different from yours.

And they're probably wondering why they're not receiving the passcodes they're requesting. Eventually I'd imagine they'll realise!

Oh wow. Hope they realise soon. This has been going on for a long time, a good few weeks. I’ve had 5 already this morning. 🤦🏻‍♀️
