Consistency of Roaming reporting and configuration

As a new customer, I thought I would report my experience of this in case it helps others who also require Roaming functionality.

In the app -> left bar, "Current usage" -> central tab "Controls", I saw that "Roam worldwide" was turned on per the toggle. Below that is the help text "To roam in the EU text ROAM EU to 150".

I visited https://care.ee.co.uk/ee_roaming and saw "Check roaming is setup" and under that "Text ROAMING to 150 (it's free)." I did this assuming that it was just a check. I received the message in response: "Great, Roam Anywhere is now active. For more information on roaming see https://care.ee.co.uk/ee_roaming"

The surprising thing for me was that in the app, "Roam worldwide" was toggled to off and could not be toggled to on. The same for the website equivalent setting.

Does anyone see the same apparent inconsistency?

At the link under "When you get back" there is "Turn worldwide roaming back on" and "Text ROAMFULL to 150." I texted that last night and received this morning: "Hi from EE. Thanks for choosing Full Roaming (EU + Rest of World). We've added it to your account. You can find out more at https://care.ee.co.uk/roaming

Surprisingly, the "Roam worldwide" app toggle remains off.

Does anyone know the difference between "Roam Anywhere" and "Full Roaming (EU + Rest of World)" ?

Does anyone know what text message to send to get the "Roam worldwide" toggle to be on?

Would be useful to merge this comment into another thread if it is a duplicate of something already reported. 🤓

A few others have noticed this, and it's been raised (with examples) to EE through the Community Star programme.

Purely a personal view, but I'm currently minded to trust the myEE indication in preference to the text message one. In all the examples thus far, it's that which appears more consistent.
