Hi,
With the recent storms we lost power 6 or 7 times. With each outage we also lost mobile service from EE. A bit worrying as I don't have a phone plugged into my landline as the socket is in the loft.
I would have thought that the infrastructure (including backhaul WAN links) would be battery backed up. If they are why did it fail?
Regards Phil

Some do, some don't, some use Diesel back up. It all depends on the site in question.
Even with Power back up the site may go into a Resilience or Restrictive Mode.

In the vast majority of cases, any battery or generator backup covers all commercial services.
In some remote locations, there are backhaul limitations, but the answer of "it all depends on the individual site config" is true.
