Resolved! Roaming, gifting and hotspotting

My phone is not enabled for roaming, but my partner's is. I get the bigger data package.If I were to gift most of my data over to my partner's phone, would I then be able to hotspot from it when we're abroad?

I am having the same problem - first time I've tried to gift since mid-February and it has always worked in the past.  I have plenty of data left to gift.

Limitations on data gifting ?

I'm looking to take another line out to use as a data SIM. Are they're any limits on how much data you can gift ? For example I currently get 180gb of data, so is it possible to gift as much of that data as I like each month ?
