Hi

Am I correct in assuming the following for a contract customer post 2022

1)  data roaming will only work in a country that isn't included in the travel pass and/or EE EU zone if you buy a data add on? For example if in Thailand data roaming will only work if you enable roaming (text ROAMING to 150 and buy the add on by texting TRAVEL to 150) if you dont do the later you won't be able to use data whatsoever?

2) Calls and texts will work providing you have enabled roaming on your account.  No travel pass/data add on required.

I ask on here as wasted 40 mins on echat and frankly non the wiser.  Passed to 3 different people and eventually gave up

  1. The Travel Data Pass is itself a data add-on. Where it's not available you will be offered upon landing an expensive smallish MB data add-on:Capture.JPG

     

  2. Yes, calls & texts are independent of data. You will either pay for them at per-unit rates or can often buy Global Roaming Mins or Texts add-ons.
