I upgrade one of the lines I have on my account to a SIMO plan, but I’d gifted 100gb of date a week before, it now looks like I’ve lost the data gifted and may have to wait another 3 weeks before I get more data, is this right, that you lose gifted data when upgrading? If I had been told by EE advisor on the phone, I would’ve waited to upgrade, or gifted the data back to myself.

Have you tried re-gifting through both the My EE app and the online desktop version of My EE?

Apparently if you upgrade a line with gifted data on it, you lose it all as new contract, if I had been aware, would’ve gifted it back to my own number first, it completely disappears from any of the lines. On to chat just now and looks like they’re going to give it back which is great, so if upgrading an additional line, better to take back gifted data before you do it.
