Due to issues from Openreach side moving my internet to my new property I only have my unlimited 4g data on mobile to gain access to the internet.
Is it possible to tether data from my phone, pixel 2xl running Android 11 on 4g, to an EE Smart hub, or older brightbox as I still have mine, until my line is hopefully fully activated at the end of the month?
Any help much aapreciated.

You don't tether a router to a mobile hotspot. You tether the devices you have at home to the mobile's hotspot's SSID instead of the router's SSID.

My choice of words obviously wasn't the right there I guess but effectivly the problem I have it that there is a certain room at the other end of my flat that gets great speeds and it would be handy if I could use the router as a stronger wireless access point and so I can use powerlines to connect my pc from that point where to signal is at its best and fastest if that makes a bit more sense.

Hi @ChrisMac21,
Sorry, that isn't possible. As @XRaySpeX mentioned, you'd need to connect your devices directly to your phone's WiFi hotspot.

Impossible! The router does not have any functionality to connect itself to other WiFi networks, only the reverse of being connected to.

I am not looking to connect WiFi to WiFi, I think what I am trying to achieve is just not possible with ISP sent routers sadly.

@Chelsea789 : Which BB has an issue? Is it from a EE mobile router or your BT Hub?

Sorry, but no, it is not possible.
