EE wifi customer « Log in now » doesn’t work

Yourfaceoncake

Hi there,

I’m a BT customer but can’t access the EE Wifi (as in general roaming wifi).

When I click on ‘Log in now’ (below ‘Already a customer?’), nothing happens. The box to log into the wifi doesn’t appear.

I can log in on my phone, so it’s just my laptop.

Can anyone help? It’s really frustrating!

Thanks so much in advance!

@Yourfaceoncake welcome to the community and thanks for posting. Have you cleared your browser cookies and cache to see if that helps? These are the steps for connecting on a laptop.

On your desktop: click the wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen and select EE WiFi from the drop-down menu.

Secondly, once connected to the EE WiFi network, you're ready to login to your closest EE WiFi hotspot and start using the internet. To login to a hotspot:

Once you join the EE WiFi network (steps above), a browser window will appear. If it doesn't, open your browser and type 'https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee' into your browser's address bar.

If you're an existing customer with an access account click the 'log in now' button and you'll be presented with 4 options in the drop down menu.

  • EE Broadband account — Use this if you are a new EE Broadband customer
  • EE WiFi Voucher account — Use this if you're an existing EE WiFi voucher customer
  • BT Broadband account — Use this if you're an existing BT Broadband customer
  • BT Business Broadband account — Use this if you're an existing BT Business Broadband customer

You are now online and can start browsing.

On desktop or tablet devices, a new web browser window may open confirming you're connected. Minimise, rather than close, the web browser window - now you're ready to browse the internet.

Thanks

Hi Neil, thanks so much for your reply. I'll try clearing cookies/browser
history but I don't think it's that. The wifi pop-up appears but when I
click 'log in now' nothing happens - I'm not presented with any options in
a drop down menu. Will update if clearing the cookies/browser history works!
Thank you!

Another problem I’ve discovered today, following my less than successful move from BT to EE…

I was in an EE WiFi hotspot for the first time. I connected to the EE WiFi network and then it prompts me to choose a method to sign in. I selected EE Broadband customer, and then it took me to the familiar EE login screen. I entered my details, which it accepted, but then it looped me back to the login screen without enabling my internet access.

Anyone else had this problem? Is it working for others who have moved over?

I have the exact same issue - did you find a solution in the end?

I have a similar issue - when I press the button to log in, it looks like it's working but it just takes me back to the first page with the signin/purchase options.

@Capablegoogler I'm afraid I don't have a solution yet, mate. My case is still with BT/EE Executive Complaints. I actually can't login to my broadband account at all now, via the app or tie website. The whole EE ID seems to be broken. My actual broadband is still working and Executive Complaints has agreed to waive all charges until it's resolved, so it's just a waiting game now...

Hi I have had the same issue.

This is a known issue with EE. Those with BT ID have an issue with the login to the EE hotspots.

If you (or anyone reading this) has the same issue I have been told to call EE and ask for a 30 day voucher, each time you need hotspot access.

There's currently no time frame for the fix.

I'm having the same problem and I'm an EE Broadband customer. Ah well 😕

Yep, exactly the same issue here. Continually loops back to the login screen after I enter my details. Very frustrating.
