Why Won't My Personal Hotspot Work Since my Upgrade? (iPhone 12)

Hi All,

I recently upgraded from iPhone 11 to iPhone 12 and added another line to my account for my daughter.  I've got 3 phone numbers on my account to cover family members.  Since my upgrade, my personal hotspot won't connect.  The other 2 numbers on my account have got no trouble connecting but mine just won't!  Tried googling, tried connecting via usb & blutooth.  Is this a settings issue or an account access issue?  Perhaps something EE need to enable on my account?  Not sure why though as it's always worked.  Any suggestions most welcome! Thanks

Made a call to EE customer services and now all resolved!  Thank you for your comments and help everyone.  It was just a settings issue.  Correct settings toggled now.

Hiya,

I'm using 4g and 5G mobile data which is unlimited on my account.

Thanks

Sorry, but what device acting as a personal hotspot are you connecting the 3 phones to? Or are you saying the the 3 phones themselves are acting as personal hotspots variously to which yet other devices are connecting to & consuming the phones' data?

Not sure i've understood your question.  But, i can connect my daughters iphone to her laptop using mobile data and personal hotspot so that the laptop has got wifi connection. (we have just moved house so waiting for a broadband connection)  I cannot do this with my iphone or laptop.  The mobile device is the hotspot using 4G/5G mobile data.  Hope that makes sense?

OK, it's my 2nd scenario.

right, so do you know why it won't connect please?

@ClareM82  you are putting the contract passcode in to your lap top ?  This will have changed on your new device.

There is no contract passcode.  I can set up a password to allow others to join my network but that hasn't changed.  The network isn't even discoverable at the moment for any passcodes etc to be required.

He meant correct passcode.
