Gifting from UK to someone who is abroad

Is it possible to gift data from a line that is active in the UK to a line on the same account that is roaming in the EU after the allowances refresh? The Help pages say this is not possible the other way around (when the gifting line is roaming) but I can’t find anything that answers my question.

Yes, you can when the gifter is in the UK. The Help info you've seen only apply to someone who is in a country outside the EU where their UK allowances are not available at the time when their UK allowances would normally refresh.

So I will be able to just login to my EE from abroad and do the data gifting from the line in the UK to the line in the EU in the same way as normal?

Yes, you could even take the phone you are leaving in the UK with you & it'll be exactly the same. When you are in the EU all this is immaterial anyway. The rule you came across applies only when you are outside the EU where your UK allowances are not available.
