Data limit reached already but can use slower data

I've exceeded my data allowance on the "Essential plan 10GB £63". I can still use data but I've been advised that it will be at a slower speed. There's no mention of an charge for this additional data. Is there a charge and if not is there a limit to how much of this data I can use?

Hi @runnerpaul ,

If your Plan includes Reserve Data capped at 2 Mbps, there is no additional charge and the cost is covered by your Plan.

More generally, EE allocates data on an allowance basis so one cannot run up costs by the MB as per traditional pay as you go schemes.

@mikeliuk : But this isn't a PAYG scheme & anyway PAYG data by the MB (which EE don't do) is absolutely limited by the PAYG credit. So another red herring from you that has nowt to do with OP's query.
