160gb plan and hotspoting

Just gone on a 160gb plan (plus unlimited minutes and texts) for £20 a month.

The girl who served me in the shop seemed new as she had to go and ask other staff for advice a couple of times. At the end, I asked about hot spotting to my laptop and she informed me that I could only hot spot 100gb a month.

I was under the impression that I could hot spot as much as I wanted and maybe (being new) she had mixed up hot spotting with 'Gifting'

Can anyone set me straight on this please?

You're right! You can use as much data as you like for hotspotting. She had confused it with gifting from an unlimited plan.
