I used to have a corporate device but they have recently switch to BYOD, and I had the option to keep my number but transfer to a sim only contract, which I can then claim back.
I went through the setup, got confirmation emails that it was transferred but my phone will not connect to the network and when people call me it says the number is out of service. I tried to message EE but the option was not available. I called them and when I entered my number it says this is not an EE number and contact the correct provider. I have googled and tried turning off and on, I have tried turning the mobile data off and on but with no luck. I am stuck as I have no way to reach EE, because they think my number is not one of theirs it just disconnects the call. Before I cancel and go elsewhere can anyone help?

Did you call 0800 956 6000?
This number is the best to call to speak to someone when your account may not be fully set up.
