Lost my phone, reported it, have been sent a new SIM. The new SIM doesn't work.

Says 'No Service'.

Helpfully all of the avenues to get customer support in this area seem to be by phone, which is obviously more complex when you have lost your phone or your phone doesn't work 😂

Welcome to the community.

Yes, it sounds like you may need to speak with our Mobile Care team from another phone, or pop into your nearest EE Store to register the SIM and remove all restrictions.

You can always contact EE CS from any working phone - it doesn't need to be yours, or an EE mobile.
