I have a number of listed data uses to eeuk6050. As my data roaming is turned off I don't understand these entries and am not aware of trying to access or use data other than by an internet connection. Can anyone explain this please?

You get some free data as well with PAYG packs and if any app is running it may use a bit of that data & for some reason it is reported in mins in the usage report.

There are always some apps running in the background, perhaps checking for their updates & updating themselves. Try restricting background data & update only over WiFi.

I was talking about your device but you may consider your SIM to be the same thing.

I already had data turned off in roaming and this was the only other place I could locate a setting. As you can probably tell I'm not terribly phone savvy. It is an android device by the way.

Thanks

It's nowt to do with roaming if you're in UK. Look at its Data Saver.

Thanks for your patience. Data saver is turned off

Further to Data saver, having turned it on, I then turned it back off again as I don't really understand which is the better option. Can someone spell out the pros and cons. Sorry to be so dim and thanks

Hi @grouser

Thanks for coming to the community.

What phone are you using?

Do you want to turn off all data on your phone?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.
