data abroad

I have been in Morocco and bought an add-on for 7 days - 45MB costing  £28.54.

I had barely used anything - 2 whatsapp messages  - and within a few hours I got an 80% alert, and then almost immediately it expired.

What's going on?  What a waste of money and can I get a refund!?

Hi @suesharp2020,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

45MB is a relatively small add-on, was it pictures you sent via WhatsApp?

All other apps that you have allowed to use mobile data could have also been updating in the background.

If you text BALANCE to 150, what is the response?

Does your phone's data counter report any app that may have been using data without your realising?

Same here! I'm on holiday in Egypt and paid £32.64, checked my emails and got an alert saying I have used 80% of my allowance.

Hi @Nawel1

Welcome to the community.

It's definitely worth utilising WiFi where available. 45MB is a relatively small data allowance.
