Can anyone answer the following. I’ve had a bill date come through for on or after the 7th May but my bank account is showing it coming out on the 8th of May. Do you know if that will be the date it’s taken (8th may)

Your bill date is fixed each month and never varies. The DD payment date is approximately 10 calendar days later - but can vary depending on weekends & bank holidays.

Your bank a/c is really the only way to know when the DD is actually taken. It'll be about 7 working days after your bill is posted at which time the DD is set in motion. You shouldn't make any manual payments during this time as they won't count towards this month's bill..
