2.29 per day roaming charge

Why am I suddenly being charged this £2.29 daily rate?

I had a roaming pass last summer while I was in the USA and have confirmation that this was removed from my account.
I have no need for roaming until I go on holiday again. How do I get this removed and refunded?

You can't remove it but you'll only be charged £2.29 on each day you use any of your UK allowances in the EU. So if you're being charged it you must roaming somewhere.

Where are you located? Could you be in UK near the border but in a weak signal area where you may have picked a stronger EU network?

Hi,
I’m in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Am I best to switch roaming off then as I haven’t been out of the country since last July.

Yes, but can you switch roaming off? Usually you can only switch data roaming off but that does not prevent you making roaming calls & texts.

However when you do pick up an EU network you should receive a text from EE warning you that you are now roaming in that country.

I haven’t had any messages about roaming since the one telling me my pass had been removed (last august)

I’m not going on holiday until September so will buy a roaming pass then but would like to stop the charges for a service I’m not using but have been charged for over my last 2 bills.
