I have this exact problem. 24 hours of no internet. A lot of faff considering I stayed with my existing broadband providing (just a new contract).
EE I've called 3x and not had the issue fixed which is that the legacy EE account has been closed and the new EE/BT account not been opened yet. Was told by the last call handler to wait till midnight on the activation day (it came and went - no change). Please DM to sort this out ASAP
