No parental controls, account non existent and bank cleaned out for no reason!

1. New EE have  left me with no parental controls and my child accessed inappropriate content. They sold me new product knowing that their parental controls are not working for some customers. I have spoken to over 10 people for many hours but they say some one will call me. When they called i missed but they cannot explain why this is an issue. 

2. My account seems to be non existent. When i log in i am not able to do anything. 

3. EE legacy account cleaned out my bank account with an unknown charge of £278.27 that i owed nothing for. They are now chasing me for it as i called it back through the bank. 

I have been a customer for 20 years and never had any issues. I am appalled. They are selling a new product that does not work and know it. When will it be fixed?

Since upgrading early November 2023 from fibre 2 to Halo 3 and eventually transferring to EE in December, (on the premise transferring would resolve the issue) I've been unable to access certain sites. It's as though partial parental controls are set.

My issue is the reverse of your situation. Sites I have accessed for years, I'm not talking about inappropriate content but e.g. the local wine merchant,  are suddenly blocked. I'm told Parental Controls are not set  but obviously restriction are being imposed somewhere. 

5 engineering visits later BT/EE finally accept it is not a hardware issue. Previously putting the onus on my equipment/router/ settings etc. Throughout the last 10 weeks I've spoken to numerous "guides",  based throughout the country, repeating my story over and over. Spending far too many hours on the phone.  It is only within the last few days that I've been made aware of an ongoing issue with Parental Controls affecting many customers. 

A know problem affecting many customers. Why are "guide" not made aware and able to inform customer accordingly, rather than customers constantly ringing chasing a fault? 

I'm told a team of specialists are working on the problem but no indication of a fix date. 

Also along similar lines to yourself, I have accounting issues. My BT account is closing and I'm being billed early but my EE account is showing no information.  Plans and Subscription  "This service is not working at the moment",  Billing and Payments "Application error"  Plus a message "problem loading updates" 

Shambolic and a complete lack of continuity.

Hi Neil-O,

still no controls. I have spent hours and hours on the phone and they all know there is an issue. The trouble is, they cannot say when kit could be sorted. 

I find it absolutely infuriating that we need to keep calling them. I have received some courtesy calls to check in and see if the wifi control situation has changed but it has not. All they say is that it is teething or rollout problems.......It started in November!! This is a serious ongoing issue and no amount of 'free' internet is going to change it. 

 

The good news is that my disconnection charge was sorted and now my complaint has been closed.

Same issue here no parental control, i have 3 kids and i'm trying to protect them from pornography .moved from BT on December 2023 .Never had problems with BT  .My worst decision to move to EE ( i have to stay with them 2 years) , for them we are beta testers.The only thing i can do now is to buy a new router with parental  control. My advice don't move to EE if you have kids.

I have had enough now. I open a complaint only for it to be closed without resolution but they say it is resolved. I am at my wits end. Unable to do anything on the app even set up a DD if i even wanted to pay for the service. I can't even leave as they won't let me go through to anyone who i can discuss it with. They fob me off saying they will call at 2pm but call  hours before then close my case due to me not answering!!
