Unlock network code NUC

Hi, I need to organise an unlock network code NUC asap. Unfortunately nobody at EE told me I need this and now am in South Africa with a Vodacom SIM  and stuck ! The live chat start conversation in the Help doesn't become active so can't use that. Any ideas  please community ???

@Jennifer60  Please read THIS on how to make this request.     Why would someone from EE tell you that you need to unlock the device unless you ask them.

Thank you very much Chris. I look forward to a successful resolution. The
thing is two separate staff members recommended that I buy a local Sim card
but neither mentioned the step of unlocking the device. And nowhere under
the Roaming section in the Help function did I see a mention of Nuc or a
link to the steps you have sent me

You can just apply for unlocking by using the Unlocking your device form and giving its IMEI no., which you can obtain be dialling *#06# into its keypad.
