Won’t let me add we account to Alexa, just gets stuck on this page and never gets passed it. Anyone help?

thanks for the reply but I've followed that and the set up process gets stuck between steps 2 & 3. it just stays on 'please wait'

I am having this exact same issue for about 3 weeks now, i thought it was just me, before now my account has always been linked.

 

My brother has never had his account linked before but has both EE & an Alexa so i asked him to try to connect his today and he got stuck on “Amazon Alexa please wait…” page too.

 

This issue is clearly across the board so why is nothing being done to fix or address it?
