Data run out abroad

Hi

A few weeks ago, at BTs suggestion I switched my 4 mobile numbers from BT to EE.
About a month ago my wife and I came to Malaysia for 5 weeks and she opted in to a data roaming daily package and all has been well.
Today, she lost all data connectivity and we were stranded without the ability to connect to Uber/Grab. Just an small E appeared in the top right hand corner of the mobile screen.
She received a text message from EE saying that she had used all of her data and could not make phone calls, send text messages or use data until 4th March, today is 6th February.
The text says we can call them on 150 but calling from Malaysia the number doesn’t work.
We thought we were paying for a daily allowance but either way we need connectivity as without it we are stranded.

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks

Gary

@GaryPickering : Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

I would've thought you could buy the Travel Data Pass for £7.84 each day for 150MB.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC => 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC => 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC => 2022: EE 80 Meg FTTC (no landline number)
