Cannot activate travel pass add on in Ghana

Uz3

Purchased travel data pass but I am unable to make calls from Ghana.

I have activated Roaming via 150 and am a monthly bill payer (Uk)

Have you activated it by texting Travel?

Have you texted Travel to activate the travel data pass?

Who can buy the data travel pass?
It's available to anyone on an EE Pay Monthly handset or SIM Only plan, just text TRAVEL to 150 before you go or while you’re abroad.

Travel Data Pass isn’t currently available to customers on Mobile Broadband and Mobile WiFi plans.

Hi @Uz3

The travel data pass is for data not calls as the name suggests. The cost of calls and add-ons can be found here:

https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/ghana

You also need to check for any spend cap via your EE app.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

Can you be specific on how you have "activated roaming via 150"? Billing add-ons are irrelevant here - did you text ROAMING to 150 from the UK, and receive a confirmation text? Does your phone show a connection to any local networks in Ghana?

Mobile coverage is needed to make & receive calls, send & receive texts or use mobile data. If roaming is not enabled, it will cause a lack of coverage.
