Has anyone ever managed to use roaming with EE?

I’ve been paying about £100 per month for a contract that should allow me to travel and roam throughout Europe. On a number of occasions I’ve called to say that my roaming is blocked or not activated.

im simply told that it is.

Absolute garbage service. Surely they are in breach of the contract?

You need to activate roaming before it will work, then buy an add on or use a benefit if your tariff has one as an option. 

What is the reason EE will not activate the service?. Roaming is a benefit not an entitlement.
