You will get full 4G+ speeds available on a 5G plan.

I tested a 5G SIM a while back on a know good 4G+ area. was the same as my old 4G+ Max speed SIM, 430mbs DL and 100mbs UL with 5G turned off, not suggesting of course your going to get these speeds though, but yes full Max 4G+ speeds.

You'll only get 4G speeds with a 4G phone or with a 5G phone in a 4G area. You'll get 5G speeds with a 5G phone in a 5G area.

@Kicking_up_Dust   That’s a very good question.  You’ll probably find it’s just up to 60Meg and it doesn’t include the speeds your talking about.

let’s ask

@Christopher_G  @Christopher_B @Leanne_T     Can any of you shed more light on this ?    What is the speed of 4G when you take out a 5G tariff.   Max plans had something like unlimited speed and the essential plan had 60Meg.

@XRaySpeX  EE used to have 2 different type of 4G plans one that gave you 60Meg ( essential plan ) and the Max plan and that gave you much faster speeds.

You will get full 4G+ speeds available on a 5G plan.

@EssexBoyEE   I probably should of done a speed test. 😆   Not to bad

You will, but keep in mind that 5G can sometimes be slower than 4G, or even none-operational such as in the Trinity centre in Leeds, full signal of 5G but very slow data speeds, works better on 4G

@Chris_B that some nice Speeds your getting there Chris.

Glad to see you getting the hang of this 4G and 5G malarkey.
