Beware. Add on is recurring!

I needed extra data so I bought an add-on.  It was not obvious to me that this was a recurring charge.  When I got a text telling me I was puzzled. I cancelled before the next direct debit but it says the bill had already been prepared and I will be charged for another month.

I feel abused as a customer.  Second time with EE.

@anthonyc0603   They are stated as such.  Please see the image below

as you can see it’s re-occurring and the add on below that one says “one off”.

Nope - does not say that when I look at my plan.  I notice you get a choice for one-off or recurring.  I don't recall that choice for unlimited.  I definitely wanted a one-off.

I bought the unlimited data add on.

@anthonyc0603   Don’t look at your account as that’s just showing the add on.  Here’s the webpage and the only unlimited add on is recurring.

Exact same happened to my wife and myself on separate occasions.

I definitely clicked on the “one off add on” as I normally don’t run out of data. It signed me up for a recurring package straight away. When I now tried to cancel - it charged me for a second month.

Very disappointed with EE.
