Meet our team of Community Stars

Sean_D
Former EE Community Manager

Hello Community,

Here in the EE Community, we run a program called the ‘EE Community Stars’.  This program recognises the exceptional contributions of some of our more active and helpful members.

The Stars are not employed by EE but offer up their own time in trying to help our customers get the most out of EE’s products and services.  If you have an issue or a question related to EE, then chances are that you will receive advice from one of our Stars.

Our Stars have a range of expertise and a depth of knowledge that have helped countless customers with their questions.

Below is an overview of who these members are.

XRaySpeX specialises in fixed broadband and the internet. He’s brilliant at lending his expertise to EE customers with broadband issues.

Chris_B was an Orange customer originally then moved to EE, he used the original iPhone on Orange back in 2007 and that’s when his passion for iPhone/iOS started. He's not had anything else, and it was getting the original iPhone on Orange that got him interested in device unlocking whether by means of a hack (no longer needed) or officially. He's now a fully paid-up member of Apple from iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple TV to his Apple watch.

Northerner has a wide knowledge base; he's likely to be able to help or offer guidance in most areas, technical or otherwise. He's interested in Android OS on both phones and tablets and has a working knowledge of Windows phones.

Chistery works in IT and likes to travel to get away from IT. He's a network expert but can help you out across the board as he uses both Apple and Android phones and switches between them frequently.

David is a civil servant by day, and in the Community helping out by night - or whenever he gets a moment. He's always up for a chat and a discussion about the latest tech. A Samsung fan for a while, he can help with issues related to IOS & Android as he previously worked in the mobile industry in a variety of roles and loves the opportunity to test out any new mobile tech.

Bristolian has been in mobile telecoms all his working life, starting out in tech support and more recently various network technical and project roles. He's interested mainly in the radio access side, and it's where he's usually found. A long-time Android user, on phones & tablets.

Mustrum is our newest Star and has a past in telecoms. He can be found mostly on the broadband boards, helping out where he can, but will pop up in other areas too.

Schockwave I have been with EE, previously Orange since August 1995 and had one of the first Nokia phones, soon after I moved my broadband to Orange. I now have an Apple phone, IPad and Apple Watch, as well as a laptop, the latter does get rarely used. I have picked up my knowledge over the years and will help wherever I can. I also have a Windows computer, but that is rarely on. It is amazing what you can learn and pick up as well.

Cheers

Sean

How do I get to be part of the ee  Community stars

@c9   You have to help on here and be recognised as a helpful member of the forum.     It’s not something you can choose to be.  You need to show that you can provide useful information to other members of the forum to help with their issues.

Hey @c9. Thanks for showing an interest.

Our longstanding Community Star @Chris_B  has hit the nail on the head really. You basically need to earn the status through engaging regularly on community, providing solutions and advice for other customers. We review this every few months to see if any new members should be considered for star status.

You can see more info here - EE Community Star program - The EE Community

Hope that helps and look forward to seeing you around on the Community. Lots of exciting stuff around the corner for EE.

@c9 : You need to show a consistent history of helping others by providing answers & advice in response to specific queries & issues put by other users & not just throwing out haphazard hints all over the place in no particular context in answer to no particular query as you have been tending to do so far, e.g. Information is an instance of what I'm getting at.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
