My contract ends in 43 days.
I tried to cancel a couple of weeks ago and was advised to call back after yesterday once I hit the 45day before the minimum term. I’ve been on the customer service chat today asking to cancel and then again via telephone.
Both have advised I can only cancel within 30days of the contract end date.
The cancellation team wouldn’t even take the call unless I was within 30days.
The website says cancellation can be done from 45days to minimum term, and it’s also in the advice on here in the pinned post.
But how do you do this if the cancellation team won’t take the call!
This feels so scammy, as you HAVE to give 30days notice to prevent further charges, yet they won’t even give the opportunity to cancel until 30days, I bet most people end up with extra charges.

You should be able to cancel up to 45 days before end of term - See How Do I Cancel My Contract with EE?
Good to know
You can request the cancellation of your contract with us a maximum of 45 days before the end of your minimum term.

Hiya,
Thanks, that is the link I've seen, but I've spoken to chat and they are saying 30days, and I've called Customer Services and they said the cancellation team won't take my call until 30days.
So how do i actually cancel within 45days?
I've raised a complaint now, as the website clearly says 45 days.

Draw their attention to that article & ask why they are not conforming to official published EE policy.
