Can I go in store take a sim only contract and get an Esim straight away?

@gallifreyangirl  No,  you need to move the number from the sim to the eSim.  There is no number until you have a working sim as the number is on the sim.   You’ll also be sent a text when you request to activate the eSim and that text is sent to the number that’s on the sim that’s in your device as you have to approve the transfer of the number to the eSim.

@gallifreyangirl  once you have a contract ( including sim only ) and the SIM card is activated you can request the eSim activation via the my EE app.    You’ll have to pass a credit check first though   The SIM card has to be activated first and working before you request an eSim activation 

understood need credit check and to get the contract up and tuning but can you choose an Esim rather then physical sim to start.
