Hi, I have a WiFi disk in my home office to help with coverage. Works brilliantly and have a strong signal on phine/tablet but I can't get my laptop to connect to it - it automatically connects to the main router so has a week connection. I can't seem to find how to get it to connect to the disk instead. What am I missing? Any help gratefully received

Hi @KingEE,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Have you tried forgetting the WiFi network in your laptop's WiFi settings and then reconnecting when near the disk?

Hi James, thanks for replying. Yep, tried that, I've even reconnected using the WPS button on the disk and it still just connects to the main router with 1 bar connection. Baffling.

Does your laptop support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi @KingEE?

Not sure to be honest, just says 5GHz but when searching in 'Wireless Network Properties' I ticked 'Look for other wireless networks while connected to this network' and it immediately connected to the disk 👍 Not sure if just a coincidence but all good now.
Thanks for your help
