I am having trouble pairing my ee smart router with my ee wifi extender

I am having trouble pairing my ee smart router with my ee wifi extender the pair just will not connect with one another either by wps button or ethernet cable. i get the flashing blue light on both but then the wifi extender just goes back to red once they have both timed out.

Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.

What are the model identifiers of each device (hub and extender)? You should find them on the label on the underside.

Not too sure what you mean by model identifier?? My hub has just got the network & password + admin p/w for hub manager & the wifi extender just says smart wifi disc but both are EE.
