Unlocking Iphone 12

yorkman
Visitor

I have just changed providers from EE and I wish to get my old iPhone 12 unlocked so I can sell it. The local EE shop couldn't help and told me I could do it online. As I've transferred everything to my new phone, I'm unable to use the old one.  I've tried ringing them from my new phone but the option I needed was unavailable. Can anyone help me to unlock my old phone, please?

@yorkman   Your device isn’t locked.     If you open settings>general>about and scroll down to Network Provider Lock it’ll say No Sim restrictions.

alternatively  just text UNLOCK to 150 and it’ll give you a text response of the network lock of your device

You can just apply for unlocking by using the Unlocking your device form and giving its IMEI no., which you can obtain be dialling *#06# into its keypad.

What do you do if your switch has been done so you can't actually call anyone from your mobile anymore as the EE sim doesn't work??

Hi @jtarouca

Is the device locked to EE? Have you tried another network SIM card?

If so, you can use the Device unlock (ee.co.uk) form to unlock the device.
