Hi, I’ve just packaged up my old iPhone ready to be traded in and afterwards I read the leaflet and realised that it said “please fully charge and turn off device” and I forgot to fully charge it and it’s still turned on but I can’t get into the package because i’ve sealed it. Will this affect anything and will I still get money for the trade in ?

Thank you.

Hi @KenzieGlover.

As log as the device was fully reset and also charged, it should be fine when it's received by our warehouse.

@KenzieGlover   Ideally you need to turn it off.  And just to check you did remove the device from your apple account and then factory reset the device?

Hi, I did factory reset everything but turned it back on to make sure it
had definitely reset and then forgot to turn it back off. Thank you for the
