S9 Tablet - Phone not working

Hi. Recently got an S9 5G tablet, all is good except the phone is not working. SMS is all OK,as is data.

Rebooted, and re-inserted SIM. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you able to try the SIM in another device to see if you're able to make calls from it?

Thanks for the reply. The SIM worked well in the prev S8, and I removed it to test in that again. No problems. The S9 is just not playing.

No - nothing at all. All that happens is about 2 secs after dialling, it makes the disconnection sound and up jumps the 'call ended' message, no matter what number tried, even the EE 150 line.

Could you make sure that call barring is switched off, @dharr55522?

Hi - Thanks for that- but on getting into it I found call barring is off for all except 'international calls from home' . But, interestingly, it asks for a call barring password upon any attempt to change anything, then comes up with a 'failed to read data' message....
