Sorry no image is showing in your post. 

Did you send a text to activate one of the roaming add-ons? 

Also just to check, have you made a call or sent a text message when connected to the EE network in the UK before travelling?

In your second post you included a screenshot of a text message "welcome to Spain". This would have needed mobile network coverage to receive, therefore is good evidence your roaming facility is enabled.

Lack of credit is the next most likely reason for any issues using your phone.
