SIM Card in Satellite Dish - 4GEE - Under Phones For Farmers Scheme SA48 area, Wales

Anyone else 'suffering' constant messages advising them that there is a Network Status problem and that they are working on it - we have, for the past 8 MONTHS!

My question is, "Are we entitled to some kind of assurance that the mast will be repaired and original service will be resumed, as up until now we have paid in excess of £200 for a defective service?"

Brief History:

We received funding from the Welsh Government under the 'phones for farmers' scheme which was meant to ensure that people living in rural areas would have access to a the Internet - proof of achievable speeds had to be forwarded to the Government to prove the success of the service. The funding covered both the equipment and fee to fit, (supplied by Dyfed Telecom).

Since complaining in early January we have been constantly assured that the problem in our area would be fixed within 16 hours. A month or so into the complaint EE offered us 1/2 price until they fixed the problem, at the time it seemed acceptable as we were receiving speeds of between 15-30mbps, (officially they only stated that speeds of at least 30mbps could be achieved in our area).

When we signed up to this offer we were receiving speeds of around 96 mbps - not much to some of you, but sheer heaven to us in the Welsh hills!

For the past 3 months, and when we actually receive any service, the mast is only supplying speeds of between 2 - 10mbps - so not even a 1/3 the service assured. Obviously this means no streaming - so all streaming services have had to be cancelled and some days It's unable to support sending emails with attachments.

Do we have some redress?

It should be noted that EE did offer to release us from the contract but with no other supplier covering our area we felt that we should stay in the hope that the service would be fixed.

Any advice is appreciated.

Regards to All,

Sheila
