ee4g mini pay g sim

Hi we've recently got a ee4g mini for our caravan and we have bought a pay as you go sim but on one of those monthly subscriptions, i have put the sim into the device but data doesn't work it just takes me to a page to top up but we've already paid the first cost, iv also tried sorting it out by putting the sim in my phone but cant seem to get it to work anyone help?

When the SIM is in a phone, What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim (it is free)?
