EE 4G WiFi Hub - Netflix won’t load!

Hello all,

Thanks to the storm before Christmas which brought down several trees and our fibre optic, leaving us without wifi, I purchased the above! With unlimited data.

it’s just about manageable to WFH although Teams isn’t great.

Prime, iplayer and Now all work fine when connected to its wifi, but Netflix won’t and shows error NW-2-5.

I’ve seen similar posts which all mention DNS and routers etc but I don’t think this will be the issue here as it’s its own device and connection. I would get it if no streaming worked but it’s only Netflix that refuses.

Any suggestions? Many thanks!

Hello @katifer_5

Do you have other devices connected to the Hub when trying to use Netflix?

Katie

Hello,

no nothing else connected, I make a point of coming off the wifi on my phone for it to work better!

thanks

Hi @katifer_5

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have found a page on Netflix which gives you some helpful information on the NW-2-5 error.

Katie

Hello again.

i have just moved house and unfortunately was unable to get broadband installed so I’m back to using the 4Gee wifi mini hub….same issue, Netflix won’t load and the internet also won’t load on my new Samsung tv…seems like it’s a “router” issue…however, is the 4G wifi mini hub a router? The amount of times it’s been switched off and on and reset doesn’t help! The two issues with the TV and Netflix must be related and something to do with the EE connection. Iplayer, Disney, prime etc all work!
It also says the signal strength is very good on the TV itself so I’m baffled why it doesn’t work.

many thanks!
