I have an EE Android smartphone with fibre wifi. If I buy a tablet just to watch TV streaming on a bigger screen - can I buy a EE tablet for a lump sum outright, switch it on & then login to my router with the router password without paying any monthly mobile charges ?

You won't be charged for any use of your tablet when its connected by WiFi to your BB router.

XRaySpeX thank you. Can I buy a EE tablet for a one off lump sum instead of monthly ?
Any suggestions for a good EE Android tablet ? I like Sony equipment but I haven't found an EE Sony tablet.

That I don't know. I think EE only sells them as on monthly contract. Also EE's will come with SIMs with a monthly airtime plan. You may be better off going to an online retailer like Amazon, Currys or Argos.
